Eat Local – Buy Local – Grow Local – Sell Local

Trade Meetings

The objective of the Making Food & Farming Connections program is to increase food trade between local producers and local culinary buyers, thereby strengthening our local food system.

These trade meetings provide a chance for consultation and networking between farmers, food processors, restaurateurs, chefs, caterers and food retailers for consultation and networking.

The 2011 meeting was held on Monday, April 11th, 1-4pm at the Caledon Community Complex.

The meeting included Farmer-Chef “speed-dating”, which ensured that all producers and buyers got a chance to meet face-to-face and exchange business cards. In addition, attendees learned about opportunities associated with the 2011 Eat Local Caledon program as well as through the organization Local Food Plus.

Stay tuned for the next meeting!
