Take the Pledge

An interactive, community-engagement program that is taking place across Caledon from June-October, 2012. The goal is to get Caledon eating a more environmentally-friendly diet and taking a BITE out of climate change in the process! Throughout the season we will be asking people to take our pledge of eight major climate-friendly diet actions.

HAYville

HAYville, which stands for Harvesting Agricultural/Entrepreneurial Youth, is a Food and Farm Business Incubator program for 12-19 year olds in Caledon and surrounding areas. HAYville aims to foster food and farming enterprise and innovation by empowering youth through hands-on experience in growing, harvesting, cooking, preserving, eating, marketing, selling, business planning and community engagement.

Cook Like A Local Chef

The Cook Like a Local Chef Series began in April, 2011.  Taught by local chefs, these classes are based on cooking with local, seasonal ingredients.  The chefs lead participants through a variety of cooking skills and techniques, imparting their valuable culinary wisdom as they go.  Best of all, once the food is done, we all eat together!  The cost for each class is $35 per person, and they usually...
